Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and Che Adams return to the Scotland squad for the remaining Nations League matches, at home to North Macedonia and away to Switzerland. Head coach Sebastien Pocognoli has also handed a first call-up to James Penrice, while Kristi Montgomery, a late addition last time, retains his place.
Squad changes
Scott McKenna and Kenny McLean miss out through injury. Lennon Miller, Josh Doig, Colby Donovan and James Wilson drop out of the squad.
Pocognoli named an extended pool of 28 players for the first four matches, which included disappointing home defeats to Switzerland and Slovenia. For these fixtures, the Belgian has selected 26 players, retaining four goalkeepers.
What is at stake
Scotland sit third in Group B1 and need a minimum of four points to have any chance of finishing second and reaching the promotion play-offs. A single point would be enough to rule out any threat of relegation.
Switzerland lead the group on maximum points, with Slovenia three points ahead of Scotland.
Newcomers and returnees
Left-back Penrice, 27, has impressed at Rangers since arriving on loan from AEK Athens. Blackburn Rovers midfielder Montgomery, 22, has started all but one Championship match this season.
McTominay has scored four goals in seven outings for Napoli since recovering from a minor heart procedure, which kept him out of games for club and country in September and October. Adams has doubled his Torino tally for the season, scoring two goals in five Serie A games following a brief lay-off with an adductor issue.
Robertson milestone
Captain Andy Robertson will surpass Sir Kenny Dalglish’s record of 102 caps should the Tottenham full-back feature in both matches, on 13 and 16 November.
